Because without your money, we could go offline! It's unlikely because the owner usually chips in anything that is still needed when the bills roll around. But, it's not just for us either. All excess funds go to the stockpile, which is eventually divided up and given out to charities and students (in the form of scholarships). As a way of saying tahnks for donating, you'll also receive a few benefits around the network, but nothing too serious. We believe in keeping things fair between regular and VIP members.
